Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a Jionee account, booking a service, or otherwise using the Jionee website or mobile application (together, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Who we are
Jionee Mobile Medical Diagnostics Limited is a company registered in Kenya, with its registered office at Mtindwa Stage, Umoja, Nairobi. Jionee operates a platform that connects patients with independent, licensed medical providers for mobile diagnostic services.
3. Our role
Jionee is a technology platform. We are not a healthcare provider, and we do not ourselves perform medical services. Providers listed on the Platform are independent licensed professionals who contract directly with you.
Jionee is responsible for the operation of the Platform, provider onboarding and verification, payment processing through partner gateways, and customer support. We are not responsible for clinical diagnoses, treatment decisions, or the outcome of any service.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are booking a service on behalf of a minor or another adult in your care, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.
5. Accounts and security
Access to Jionee requires a verified phone number. You are responsible for keeping your account details and verification codes confidential. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
6. Bookings and payments
Service prices displayed on the Platform are set by Jionee in consultation with partner providers. Distance and surge fees are calculated at the time of booking and disclosed to you before payment.
Payment is collected up front through M-Pesa, Airtel Money, T-Kash or other supported channels via our payment partner. By confirming payment, you authorise Jionee to charge the total amount displayed.
7. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel an order before a provider has commenced the service. Refund eligibility depends on the order status and applicable channel rules. Where a refund is due, it will be processed through the original payment method, typically within 7 business days.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform. You must not attempt to access accounts that are not yours, interfere with Platform security, use the Platform for unlawful purposes, or provide false information during booking or registration.
9. Medical disclaimer
Content made available through the Platform — including blog articles, service descriptions, and provider profiles — is provided for general information only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional regarding any medical condition.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jionee's total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Platform is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. Jionee is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
